Live a supernatural lifestyle right where you are

In order to do this, the School of Kingdom Ministry trains and equips a network of churches who host classes around the world.

What We Offer Our Students

SoKM is a global ministry school designed to integrate directly into your church, giving you the benefits of local training and equipping with people you know and trust.

We believe that God placed us in the family of our local church, and it’s through this family where He intends to train us and release us for the work of His Kingdom.

This school was developed to make that possible; its tailored for the everyday person at any church.

FAQ's

Is there any way I can take the class without attending live?

Unfortunately, we do not have another way to take the class. Since the majority of class is centered around hands-on activities, it is always necessary to attend School of Kingdom Ministry in a classroom setting with other students. Another critical component of SoKM is learning in the context of community relationships. It is vital to your growth as a student to have real, face-to-face relationships with leaders and other students who can support you on your journey. This again is something that can only be achieved by attending SoKM in a classroom setting.

Is there weekly homework for the students, like reading, watching videos or going out to do evangelism?

There is no weekly homework for students. We do require students to complete a reading assignment from the manual prior to each new unit. Teaching units vary in length and are between 2 to 6 weeks long.

Students are not required to rewatch the class session videos using their online accounts, but may choose to do so if they wish. This can be really helpful for students who want to review what they heard in class.

What is the fee for students?

Student fees vary by location and typically range from $200 – $350/year. Contact the SoKM class facilitator in your area for more specifics. Students typically split their tuition into 2 payments, one for each semester. Tuition payments are generally due one month after the start of the semester.

How long is the school year?

We run SoKM in Urbana, IL from September to May. However, your location can launch a class whenever it makes sense for them.

The course is roughly 9 months long or (more accurately) 27 weeks. We take a long break for the holidays (5-6 weeks) plus other breaks for Easter and such. Contact the SoKM class facilitator in your area for more specifics.

Is there a set curriculum?

Yes, we have a set curriculum that is established at the beginning of each year. The curriculum follows our SoKM Manual and is taught by a Teaching Team: Daniel Goulet (SoKM Director), Dianne Leman (TVC Founding Pastor), Julie Yoder (TVC Senior Pastor), Putty Putman (SoKM founder), Joanna Machen (SoKM Locations Manager) and special guest teachers. The classes are filmed fresh each year, so they are never the same from year to year.

How much time commitment per week is needed from students?

Students attend class once a week for 3 hours. There is minimal reading to be done outside of class. Our goal is to make this class accessible for the everyday person who has a job, school, etc.

Ready to Grow?

Our goal is to activate every believer to live a naturally supernatural lifestyle so that everywhere they go they can partner with where God is already working.

“SoKM has challenged me to become more aware of the paradigm that I use to view God, myself, and the world. I have been encouraged to move from being complacent about praying for people to stepping out regularly with expectation that I would receive specific words from God for the situation.”
